  1. Hi Al,
Thank you once again for your beautifully clear explanation and demonstration.
So, thirty years later, I finally have clarity about Tai Chi forward turns.
Also, in the mini course you talked about Carol ‘folding’ her hip as she did Forward Bear, but I could not see what you meant and did not understand it at all.
Your demonstration was perfect. I’ve got the message now.
Also, understanding what is happening internally as I do the moves deepens my practice and awareness.
Please, keep doing these videos. I look forward to them. They are the icing on an already perfect cake.
One master I heard about (don’t remember his name) said most people practicing were illiterate as far as knowing and understandingthe theory of Tai Chi (and presumably Qigong). I include myself in that group.
Thank you for what you are doing – because it is remedying my illiteracy.

    • Hi Jackie –

Thank you for your positive comments. I’m glad I was able to make this more clear. I’m with you about the illiteracy – I was illiterate about Tai Chi theory for my entire first decade of practice! Fortunately, I stumbled upon some good masters about 15 years ago, and I’m trying to pass the information on as best as I can since that time.

Thank you as always for your support. I appreciate having students and instructors like you in our program.

      Best wishes,
      Al

  2. My training revolved around the importance of the dahnjon (korean) or dantien. The final twist of the bow stance is important to bring awareness to the dantien and feeling the center. I love learning about the physiology and connection to the western understanding of health. Thank you.
